Learning Computer Sound for Kids

1. What Is Computer Sound?

Computer sound is audio that comes out of the computer speakers. It can be music, sound effects, or our own recorded voice.

2. Getting to Know Speakers and Microphones

• Speaker – used to hear sound from the computer.
• Microphone – used to record our voice.

3. How to Play Sound

1. Open a music or video player application.
2. Select the sound or music file you want to play.
3. Click the play button, and the sound will come out from the speakers.

4. How to Record Sound

1. Open the Voice Recorder or Audacity application.
2. Press the Record button and start speaking.
3. When finished, press Stop and save the audio file.
